Estimate the cost of travelling between two South Korean regions by car (distance, drive time, fuel, toll, taxi) or train (fare range, duration). Use this for "how much / how long to get from A to B" questions. Values carry an accuracy flag (exact / estimate / verify) — present them as estimates, not guarantees.

calculate_transport_cost

Compare 2 or 3 published TripPocket courses side by side (title, region, duration, budget, transport mode, tags and highlight places). Use this to help a user choose between recommended courses. Reports a clear not-found error when a slug does not exist.

compare_courses

Generate a day-by-day itinerary for a region, or match an existing TripPocket course to the given conditions. Heavier than the search/recommend tools (may run AI generation) — call it once the destination and preferences are settled. Returns a structured multi-day plan with ordered stops. Use get_itinerary to re-fetch it later.

generate_itinerary

Fetch the full detail of a published TripPocket course by its slug. recommend_trip, quick_plan and compare_courses return course slugs — call this to get the day-by-day plan, ordered stops, tags, quality score, nearby festivals/accommodations and weather banner. Reports a clear not-found error for unknown slugs.

get_course_detail

Fetch the full detail of an itinerary by its id (from generate_itinerary) or an existing course slug. Returns days, ordered stops, related guides and alternatives. Reports a clear not-found error for unknown ids.

get_itinerary

Get the multi-day weather forecast (temperature, condition, rain probability, wind, UV) for a South Korean region. Use this when a request depends on weather — e.g. rain-safe or indoor planning, or "is it a good day to visit". Requires a region_code. Forecast horizon is capped at 14 days by the backend (Open-Meteo).

get_weather

List nationwide upcoming festivals and events (end date on or after today, ordered by start date). Returns name, region, address, dates, admission fee, coordinates and image for each. Use this to suggest what is happening around a trip date. Data derives from the Korea Tourism Organization (TourAPI).

list_festivals

Get a single fast course recommendation from a mood and duration. Lighter than recommend_trip — use it when the user just wants one quick suggestion. Returns the picked course plus an optional alternative. If no course matches, the result reports that no pick was found.

quick_plan

Get TripPocket region and course recommendations from decision criteria (companion, duration, budget, transport, interest tags, weather, accessibility, pet/stroller, walking tolerance, origin coordinates). Returns server-generated scores, reasons, warnings and course cards — do NOT re-derive or invent scores; present the backend payload as-is.

recommend_trip

Search TripPocket tourist attractions by region, keyword and content type. Use this to find real places (name, address, description, image, coordinates, tags, opening hours, fees) before planning a trip. Provide at least a region or a keyword.
